Palm Pre

This is the one thing that seem to steal the spotlight at CES 2009 this year. After the showcase of the new Palm Pre at CES, the Palm stocks have jumped. Personally from viewing the reviews and video demos, this looks to be an amazing and fresh phone OS. Android stepped up with its OS, both of which do not say “iphone” all over it. Both have brought their own interface ideas to the mobile phone market. But the Palm Pre with webOS seems to have up’d the stage for both the Iphone and the Android.

Along with this, interestingly enough, I found the news from June 2007 of Bono’s invest company, Elevation Partners, started putting a stack into the Palm company. They invested over $325 million middle of 2007, followed by another $100 million this past December 2008, one month before its showcase at CES 2009 in Las Vegas. Looks like its paid off so far. And Bono and his circle of associated including may ex-executives from Apple have made its way to Palm.

Can’t wait to see how this Palm war will do against Android and Iphone.

We’ll see if I’m lucky enough to get my hands on one, or I’ll just stick it out with my HTC Touch.
